Potosí is one of the most representative cities in the colonial republican architecture of South America, for that reason it was declared by the UNESCO as Cultural and Natural Patrimony of Humanity.
In this city one can observe and visit colonial monuments, religious and diverse historical relics. In their surroundings there are natural attractions, like artificial lagoons and various towns where fine crafts are made.
It is also possible to enjoy dances and Sunday fairs, the same as in the ancient past.
Potosí was one of the most important cities in the colonial time, a rich mining centre that congregated thousands of residents, where different constructions where carried out, and are considered jewels of the colonial architecture.
Among their attractives, the San Francisco's and Santa Teresa church-museums stand out, the churches of Santo Domingo, San Lorenzo, Jerusalem and some mansions like the house of Antonio's López de Quiroga, the richest and wealthy miner in the area.
